Honda has been involved in Formula One Racing for decades. While there haven’t been any official announcements about Honda reentering the Formula One Racing circuit, some rumors from credible sources have begun to evolve regarding a partnership between Honda and Mclaren for the 2015 season.

Honda Racing in The 2000s

Honda was a major supplier of engines for a variety of teams from 2000 to 2005. They were the official supplier of engines for the Jordan Grand Prix in 2001 and 2002, but proceeded to drop the event in 2004. A Turning Point: 2006

2006 was a big year for Honda Formula One.

During the first part of the season, Honda turned out very poor performances in Hungary and Malaysia. They were unable to achieve any podium placements, largely due to engine failures and back office replacements.
