Honda has been involved in Formula One Racing for decades. While there haven’t been any official announcements about Honda reentering the Formula One Racing circuit, some rumors from credible sources have begun to evolve regarding a partnership between Honda and Mclaren for the 2015 season.
Honda Racing in The 2000s
Honda was a major supplier of engines for a variety of teams from 2000 to 2005. They were the official supplier of engines for the Jordan Grand Prix in 2001 and 2002, but proceeded to drop the event in 2004. In 2004, Honda purchased a 45 percent stake in the BAT team and achieved a second place standing behind the Ferrari team. The whole story can be found at http://krystalbalagot93.wordpress.com/2013/05/03/honda-quits-formula-one-racing/
A Turning Point: 2006
2006 was a big year for Honda Formula One.
During the first part of the season, Honda turned out very poor performances in Hungary and Malaysia. They were unable to achieve any podium placements, largely due to engine failures and back office replacements.
At the end of the season, the team had come out of the shadows and into the spotlight. In Brazil, http://carinsurance-deals.com/liberty-mutual/, they managed to obtain a first place finish despite starting from the fourteenth position.
Honda and Mclaren will be a force to reckon with in 2015.
